Easy to grow herbaceous perennial. One of the 50 fundamental herbs of Chinese herbalism, its medicinal uses include treatment of morning sickness and digestive problems. The leaves and stems are also said to have anti-bacterial and anti-fungal properties. Use the anise-mint flavour leaves raw in salads (small leaves are best) or with flowers in teas.
