Amoracia rusticana

Hardy perennial herb well known for its deep roots which are harvested in winter and grated to make horseradish sauce. The leaves are also edible in salads though extremely hot, and the seeds can be sprouted and eaten. The plant also has many therapeutic uses, including as an antibacterial, and can be used internally and externally. The leaves can be made into a tea to spray on plants to control fungal diseases.
