Foxglove Pam's Choice
Ornamental woodland-edge plant with white tubular blooms with a deep burgundy throat, creating a pinkish tinge to the flower. Foxgloves have a long history of medicinal use but as the lethal dose is close to the medicinal dose, self-medication is not advised. Instead enjoy their other benefits - they are great for attracting bees, an infusion is said to prolong the life of cut flowers, and root crops grown near them are said to store better. An apple green dye can also be obtained from the flowers. They will tolerate dry-ish soil in semi shade, or moister soil in full sun. Height to 160cm when in flower. Biennial.
