St John's Wort
Highly regarded medicinal plant with many uses including soothing, healing, anti-depressant & sedative qualities. Caution advised however as potential side effects are many. The leaves and fruit may be used as a tea substitute. Useful dye plant - yellow, gold, brown and red colours may be obtained. A hardy, adaptable perennial for full sun or part shade, although flowers are said to be better when in sun. Caution advised - may become invasive. Height to 100cm. 9cm pot.
