Squash Waltham Butternut
Sweet orange flesh with a buff skin on vigorous vines with 4-5 fruit each. Can be harvested young and used as summer squash or stored for up to 3 months. The tender tips and soft leaves on the ends of trailing stems can be snipped off after three or four fruits have started to form. These can then be fried with garlic, steamed, or used in soups. The flowers can be stuffed e.g. with soft cheese, then dipped in batter and fried. Plant 200cm apart. 9cm pot.
