Squash Burgess Buttercup
Very productive dark green skinned heirloom squah with excellent storage qualities. The bright orange flesh is dry and sweet with fruit weighing 1.5-2kg. Vining growth habit. The tender tips and soft leaves on the ends of trailing stems can be snipped off after three or four fruits have started to form. These can then be fried with garlic, steamed, or used in soups. The flowers can be stuffed e.g. with soft cheese, then dipped in batter and fried. Plant 150cm apart. 9cm pot.
