Pumpkin Austrian Oil Seed
Heirloom pumpkin with hull-less seeds which are tasty raw or even better seasoned and roasted. Mature pumpkins are 3-5kg and have thick tasty flesh. The tender tips and soft leaves on the ends of trailing stems can be snipped off after three or four fruits have started to form. These can then be fried with garlic, steamed, or used in soups. The flowers can be stuffed e.g. with soft cheese, then dipped in batter and fried. Semi bush habit. Plant 200cm apart. 9cm pot.
