Squash Spaghetti Squash
Fascinating and delicious vegetable with oval 1-2kg fruit producing vegetable spaghetti - gluten free! Puncture skin with a fork then steam or bake whole 'til tender. Halve and turn out 'spaghetti'. Eat hot with butter or pasta sauce. The tender tips and soft leaves on the ends of trailing stems can be snipped off after three or four fruits have started to form. These can then be fried with garlic, steamed, or used in soups. The flowers can be stuffed e.g. with soft cheese, then dipped in batter and fried.Plant 100cm apart. 9cm pot.
