A compact native hebe forming an erect, evergreen shrub to a height of 1 - 1.5m, excellent for low hedging. Leaves are are narrow and spear-shaped, 4–7 cm long, with two lines of small pits (domatia) on the underside of the leaves. Very pale lilac sprays of flowers in spring fade to white in summer and are ornamental and attractive to bees. Its natural habitats include areas of Taranaki and Westport. This is not the hebe used for medicinal purposes, see Koromiko (Hebe stricta), although it is possible that it has medicinal uses, and is certainly not toxic to humans or animals. 11cm pots, approx 25cm high.
