Edible Roots & Tubers

Here you’ll find some old-fashioned perennial staples – such as jerusalem artichokes which many people have heard of, if not tried, along with others less familiar such as skirret which harks back to Tudor times. Most of them are tough survivors, not namby-pambys, and may not be as instantly palatable as carrots, but they definitely deserve a place in a resilient perennial food system, and some of them you may even grow to love!
