Description
Coloured yarrow which makes a very pretty ground cover for a sunny spot, especially when mixed with other colours from our range. Fragrant feathery foliage, airy salmon-pink flower clusters aging to terracotta then creamy yellow in summer. The leaves can be eaten raw or cooked in small quantities and have medicinal uses. Achilleas improve the soil and the health of plants growing nearby, and can limit erosion by binding the soil, although this property can make it invasive too. Cut yarrow can be soaked in a bucket and used to make a fertilizer or added to a compost heap to aid decomposition. It is a dynamic mineral accumulator and contains nitrogen, phosphorous, potassium and copper.. Attractive to bees and other beneficial insects. Height to 90cm when flowering. 9cm pot.
