Description
Anthemis tinctoria Alba
Hardy perennial with attractive and aromatic feathery foliage and a profusion of white daisy flowers all summer. The yellow form is well known for the excellent yellow, buff and orange dyes which can be produced from the flowers. We assume since the centres of this white form are still golden yellow that it will also yield a yellow dye, but if there’s a variation in colour we’d love to hear your experiences!
Dyer’s chamomile is also reputed to have some medicinal benefits, but is not the chamomile used to make tea or hair rinse – for this see german chamomile.
Full sun, tolerant of most soil types, including poor, dry soil or moister sites. Very easy care. Up to 45cm when in flower.
Certified organic plant.
