Description
Knautia macedonica
Classical clump-forming herbaceous plant related to the true scabious. Crimson pincushion flowers are borne on airy stems from summer to late autumn. The flowers are fantastic for attracting bees and butterflies, indeed this species is part of the Royal Horticultural Society “Plants for Pollinators” initiative to showcase plants which support pollinator populations by providing ample amounts of nectar and/ or pollen.
Native to South-eastern Europe, these plants are hardy perennials which enjoy full sun and are easy-care, doing well on any average garden soil. Clumps grow to 45cm wide and flower stems grow to a height of up to 75cm.
Certified Organic plant in 9cm pot.
Freight: We can send up to 9 plants this size (in 9cm pots) for the same freight price or they can be combined with other grades but this will incur higher freight costs.
