Mentha rotundifolia
Sometimes known as Variegated Applemint. Great ground cover for under fruit trees but can be invasive in moister areas – certainly not a problem for us in Hawke’s Bay. The green and cream leaves have a mild apple/pineapple flavour and can be used in salads or to flavour water. Medicinally the plant is said to ease headaches and indigestion. Height to 40cm. 9cm pot. Certified organic plant.
