Attractive, evergreen shrub with aromatic leaves and white flowers early-mid summer followed by delicious aromatic berries in March/April. Height to 2m.  Fruits heavily even when young. Suited to most soil types. Full sun or part shade. Frost hardy. Tolerant of winds except maritime exposure. Self fertile and easy to grow.  Good for hedging or in containers.  The delicious small berries can be eaten raw or cooked. They are relished by kids, and easily picked due to the height of the bush.  The leaves can be used as a tea substitute, and the roasted seeds as a coffee substitute.
