Prunus persica
Seedling Golden Queen of inland Hawke’s Bay provenance. Late season (March-April) variety with deep orange flesh. Excellent flavour for bottling or eating fresh. Ours grow well even on clay soil, and we find they fruit after about 3 years – relatively early for an ungrafted variety. We also much prefer the natural tree shapes of ungrafted varieties. Clingstone. Height 3-4m. Variations may occur – they tend to be very similar to a Golden Queen but not exactly the same.
Deep 11cm pot. Seedling approx height 30 – 40cm with well developed root system ready for planting
