Artemisia dracunculus var sativa
Herbaceous perennial herb with feathery, tasty (slightly anise flavour) leaves and young shoots which are used to flavour salads, soups, meat, fish and egg dishes, but are best known for flavouring vinegars. This is the true French tarragon which is sought after for the kitchen, and has a much better flavour than Russian tarragon. Good for stimulating the appetite and aiding digestion, so particularly good used with fatty foods. Height to 80cm. 9cm pot. Certified organic plant.
