Achillea filipendulina
Also known as Fern-leaf Yarrow, this robust evergreen perennial creates a stunning ground cover for a sunny spot. Native to central and southwestern Asia but naturalized in parts of Europe and North America. Feathery foliage, airy bright yellow flower clusters. Taller than most other achilleas – to 140cm when in flower.

Enjoys an open sunny position in average, well-drained soil. Avoid heavy, wet clay in winter. Drought tolerant when established, and frost hardy. Deadhead spent flowers to promote further blooming.
Achilleas have anti-inflammatory, antiseptic, and astringent qualities, and have been applied traditionally in herbal medicine to treat various ailments, including wounds and digestive issues. However, please refer to Achillea millefolium for the best medicinal use.
