Lavender dentata (French)

Price range: $8.50 through $10.50

Lavandula dentata
A tall variety to 1.2m flowering almost year-round. Fantastic bee-attractor providing food even through winter.  Butterflies are also fond of the flowers. Soft green toothed leaves and small flowers on mauve flower heads topped by mauve bracts. Prune lightly after flowering to encourage the next flush. Flowers are edible though not as sweet as English lavenders. They have long stems and are great dried for flower arrangements, pot pourri or for decorating gifts. Kids love to pick the flowers with their heavenly scent. Medicinally they can be used to treat catarrh. Great for a sunny dry spot on most soil types. Frost hardy perennial.

9cm pot. Certified organic plant.
