Hardy perennial with attractive and aromatic feathery foliage and a profusion of white daisy flowers all summer. The yellow form is well known for the excellent yellow, buff and orange dyes which can be produced from the flowers, and we had to try this one out to be sure that it still yielded a yellow, which it did indeed (from the golden yellow centres of the white flowers).
Dyer’s chamomile is also reputed to have some medicinal benefits, but is not the chamomile used to make tea or hair rinse – for this see german chamomile.
Full sun, tolerant of most soil types, including poor, dry soil or moister sites. Very easy care. Up to 45cm when in flower.
