Description
Campanula latifolia
Also known as Giant Bellflower. Clump-forming hardy perennial with edible shoots, leaves and flowers, one of the best of the bellflowers for eating. Spires of purple, mauve or sometimes white bellflowers in summer to over 1m tall attract bees and butterflies. Quite likely to attract the kids too, once they know they’re edible! Fabulous flowers for cake decorations as well as the vase.
Part or full shade, prefers humus-rich moist soil but will tolerate some dry. 9cm pot. Certified organic plant.
