Description
Anthemis tinctoria
Hardy perennial, which may be short lived. Attractive and aromatic feathery foliage and a profusion of cheery butter-yellow daisy flowers all summer. Famous for the excellent yellow, buff and orange dyes which can be produced from the flowers. The warm yellow colours provide a good complement to the more lemony yellows that weld produces. Dyer’s chamomile is also reputed to have some medicinal benefits, but is not the chamomile used to make tea or hair rinse – for this see german chamomile.
Full sun, tolerant of most soil types, including poor, dry soil or moister sites. Very easy care. Up to 45cm when in flower.
Certified organic plant.
