Nepeta faassenii
Dwarf spreading perennial with small purple-blue trumpet-shaped flowers from spring to autumn. Can be made into a herbal tea as gentle treatment for sleeplessness, anxiety, colds, flu and headaches. Leaves can also be added to salads. Wonderful bee attractor. Traditionally planted as a companion plant underneath roses and forms a useful, attractive, drought tolerant ground cover. A lovely plant for kids – easy to grow, low height, beautiful scent taht lingers on the hands, and a nice one for them to make into a calming herb tea.
Height to 30cm. Sunny spot, drought tolerant.
